Cricket Test Matches

The Australian Team returns from South Africa with a drawn series but a much needed win in the final test which included a exceptional run chase on the last day. The focus now turns to the domestic Test Match season which opens with a two game series against the New Zealanders who are keen to improve their Test rankings. New Zealand will be fielding a team based on experience but with a few new “wild cards” added to the mix.

With Australia slipping in the test rankings and pride on the line, the Vodafone Test Series against our old foes India will provide the opportunity for the men in the baggy green to perform on home soil. The Indians as always will be a challenging opponent and with the likes of “The Little Master” – Sachin Tendulkar and M.S. Dhoni in form, will Australia gain the ascendency in 2011/2012?

After the Kiwi tour and the Australian's suffering their first defeat on home soil to New Zealand, things were not looking good for the Indian tests, but a great bowling performance by our quicks pulled off in the end, a comfortable victory. The stage is set for the Sydney test with the Indian batsmen Laxman and Sehwag having past success on the SCG strip.

Who would have thought - Sydney, Perth and Adelaide would be all resounding victories and Australia well and truely on their game. Congratulations to the Australian's and to Michael Clarke!!!
