One Day Cricket

The 2011/2012 Commonwealth Bank One Day International Series is certainly set to be an absolute thriller. With Australia currently holding down the World #1 position, the big improvers of ODI cricket in India and Sri Lanka will be looking to knock the Aussies off their perch. After a firery test series between Australia and India, the competition is going to hot up in the ODI series and the Indians are looking to give one of the greatest cricketers in the world a winning send off. It may well be his final series on Australian soil and Sachin Tendulkar will be doing his utmost to put in a memorable performance.

With one-a-piece in the T20 fixtures, India are looking to complete their tour of Australia on a high note, but the Sri Lankans are not going to make things easy and Australia want to ensure that they continue their great domestic season. With a West Indian tour on the horizon, the Australians will want to head overseas on a high and after unearthing a raft of new talent, these new young guns will want to be put to the test.

Well we are nearing the business end of the ODI's and with Ricky Ponting announcing his retirement from the ODI scene, one of our greatest servants of the game will be missing from the short version of the game. Meanwhile, we still seem to have the wood on the Indian's but received a touch up from the Sri Lankans - looking forward to finals. There is never enough sport on for The Legends Club!!!

Rugby Union Super 15

The Super 15 tournament 2012 is shaping up to be a blinder. The off season has seen a number of key signings and departures from all franchises and injuries, incurred during the Rugby World Cup and spring tour will see some Australian teams without their full complement. The questions on everyones lips - can Queensland back up after their spectacular season in 2011 and will NSW under a new coaching team fire up and be a force to be reckoned with?

But unfortunately, it looks like that the Tah's will have to do it without Lachie Turner following a hamstring injury suffered during the trial against Samoa in Tamworth. Scans will indicate the scope of the injury and its being reported that Lachie may have to undergo surgery. We wish him well and a fast recovery!!

A number of weeks into the competition and the Australian teams are struggling - only the Reds are carrying the Australian supporters hopes but they too have been hit hard by injury. The Tahs are underwhelming so far this season and need to "put it on the paddock". The Rebels and the Force need to perform as they do not want to be fighting for the wooden spoon at the business end of the season. All Australian rugby supporters are looking forward to watching some entertaining open rugby - bring it on!!

The "Young Brumbies" are turning into the surprise packets of the Super 15 Australian Conference. They are stringing some great performances together and are the best performing Australian team at present but keep an eye on the Red's!! The Tah's are struggling but with the return of few key players from injury, we hope that they can turn their season around. Great to hear that Lachie Turner is up and around and there are rumours that he may make it on to the paddock in the near future. The Rebels and the Force are steadily improving with a few close games only being lost on a "bounce of a ball at the death".
